About

I'm Ben. I've been into tech since I was a kid. PCs showed up in people's homes when I was 8, and then came the 56k modem, internet plans with a set number of hours per month, Hotmail and MSN Messenger.

I got ADSL late because it cost too much. So I ran an Ethernet cable along the outside of my apartment building and plugged into my neighbor's line. That's pretty much how I learned everything: building my own PCs, catching viruses, reformatting, teaching myself Photoshop and Premiere, sitting through every new version of Windows.

Then came the iPhone, then the iPad, and then I got a MacBook. I've been all Apple ever since, for the build quality, for how it feels to use every day, and most of all for making things.

I'm not a developer. I studied marketing and communication, and my main job today is teaching primary school. With vibe coding, I build websites and finally get to turn ideas I've had for years into real things. I can spend hours on tech without seeing the time go by. The AI race has me excited, too. Tech felt stuck for a few years, and now it changes month to month.

How I test

Every how-to on this site is done on my own devices before it goes live. The device and iOS version are listed at the top of each post. If something changes after an update, the post gets updated and dated.
